Why is there no God?

“Science cannot explain the complexity and order of life. Surely God has arranged everything this way.”

The primary function of religions was to explain natural phenomena that primitive cavemen generally could not explain. For example, natural forces such as rain and volcanoes along with lightning were considered to be sent by gods and goddesses. Now with the advancement of science it is clear how and why these things happen, God is no longer needed to explain them. The same is true of many other natural phenomena, and as science discovers new, more detailed and far-reaching methods of explaining these phenomena, supernatural explanations become irrelevant. Although it is true that there are still many things in the world that we don't know the explanation of, I don't know if we will know in the future, but there is no point in putting up only a contrived explanation. In fact belief in creation is not a solution, it is rather a substitute for "I don't know". Yet the existence of gods and goddesses raises more questions than solves our puzzle.

In 1802, philosopher William Paley introduced “The Teleological Argument” in his book “Natural Theology”. In it he argues that the universe must have been created by an intelligent being because it is too complex to be divine. To illustrate the point, he compares it to a clock; If you walk on the beach and find a watch you can tell someone made this complicated watch. It's absurd to think that this watch just got here. Similarly, complexity means that it must have a planner.

Since then, scientists and philosophers have tackled this issue and shown that even complex systems can be created without a plan. Evolution through natural selection is also part of it. We'll be looking at complexity without design here in general, but you can check out EvolutionSimplyExplained.com for a video explaining how evolution works in a simple and concise way.

Mathematician John Conway developed a model called “The Game of Life”. It showed how complex things can emerge from a few tiny cells following the simple formulas of mathematics. In the game, a player creates an initial pattern of cells and releases them to reproduce and destroy according to some mathematical calculations.

Population:

*If a cell has one or less neighbour's around it will die

*If a cell has four or more neighbour's around it, it will die

*Cells that have three or four neighbour's around them will survive

In zero range:

*Cells with three neighbors will be populated

The results of different games can vary greatly based on the initial conditions. Creates some incredibly intricate and symmetrical designs that keep growing. Others stop growing and become completely stagnant. In each case, the resulting design is dictated by the mathematical formula that governs cell behavior, not by the player's conscious behavior. From the game it is understood that a system can operate automatically according to its own rules and gradually progress to more complex results without any external intervention. Visit FromBasicLaws.com to see some videos of complex things emerging from simple formulas that unfold and interact like stunningly beautiful designs.

Complexity alone does not make design

The analogy of a clock is appropriate here only because it is not natural and does not happen like that. If design were really at the root of everything then there would be no fundamental difference between a stone and a watch because they are designed by the same intelligent being. In that case we would not be able to distinguish between designed and undesigned things, and consequently the term itself would become irrelevant. Design is actually at odds with natural phenomena.

If complexity requires creation, then who created creation?

This is probably the main problem with designed complexity. Dragging in the gods does not solve the problem of complexity; This creates another new problem. If all complex things require creation, then why does this rule not apply to creation itself? Doesn't a more complex god need to be created for that complex god? And so it will go on forever.

Scientists are constantly exploring the complexities of the universe, and we may never have all the answers. That's no problem. Explaining a question without knowing the answer is not an acceptable excuse.

I'm Arif Hossain. Thank you for stopping by. This website is all about my thoughts towards religions. Not particularly any one religion but about all religions exist till the date. I am a free thinker. I don't box my faith in one particular religion. So many religion exist in this world and it is so confusing for one like me to obey one particular religion. After we born some one tag us in one religion group and then for the rest of our life we keep follow that. I will try to blog as much as i can about my  feelings towards religion.  Stay and support in this journey with me.
